I'm still pissed I didn't think to take a picture of my RK laying on its side with the sign in the background!!!

Loose gravel. Always a treat no matter what kind of shoes or boots you're wearing.

PSA: If you lower a bike it will reduce the lean when on jiffy stand. Lived in earthquake country so put a 6 degree pinion/leaf spring shim between stand and frame and got the lean back. Was a $5 fix.

Lol, riding for 50 years and countless miles on 2 wheels, I've had my share of drops. All my fault of course.

Funny you should say that. It seems OK to me but obviously more upright than it was previously. But while the bike was in the trailer on the way home to me the service manager called me and told me that he'd already gone ahead and ordered a shorter stand.
We've known each other for years, he was my indy go to before he went to work at the local HD so he knew I'd probably be OK with it.

Yep almost forgot about that. The previoius owner of my Wide Glide didn't change the sidestand when he lowered the bike and it basically stood straight up. Being the cheap moron I was at the time I just ground down the tab on the frame that the stand rested against.

When I got my 76 FLH the previous owner had a super long sidestand to deal with the very nice rake job he had done on the bike. Only problem was I had to use my hand to put the stand down because it was so long and didn't have a heel tab on it. I wanted a stock sidestand so I got one and cut a shim to go into the slot where the stand rotates in the mount to keep it from leaning over too far.
