Ok.....so who makes the best replacement speakers for the 08' Street Glide? I would like to get a bit better....cleaner sound out of my system, and think a good place to start would be the stockspeakers.
Also how hard is it to gain access to the inside of the fairing.....like how many bolts are there? I know the three just under the windshield, and it looks like there is one on each side that has to be accessed by going in between the upper and lower trees.....so that makes 5.....are there any more???
Thanks guys for the help.....believe me when I tell you, any and all advice I get here is highly regarded.
Not counting the 3 top shield screws there are at total of (4). Fairing comes off in 5 minutes. Best sound from Hawg Wired amp and their matching component speakers, all plug and play.

I agree..........Hawg Wired is the only way to go. I have this set up and the sound is GREAT, but you have to be willing to pay to play. It is expensive but well worth it!!!
I recently upgraded to the Hogtune speakers and they are great. But I also upgraded my head unit at the same time and the tunes are incredible!
The fairing is a piece of cake to take on and off.............Ive only done it about 3 times recently due to my "off-road adventure"[:@]
I have a 2002 FLHTC and I went thru about 3 pairs of Stock HD speakers before I switched to HOGTUNES speaker. The factory Speakers would last about 10 months before the sound would crackle or just quit working. I have no clue why and the dealer said nothing was wrong with the radio. So finally I decdied to go with Hogtunes and they have heald up fine for about 2 years now.
