I used the 1/4 felt stick ons on mine I put one on to protect the bage from a bolt that was a little long on my slip ons when I looked at it I thought hmm I should put one in every corner . Works great no scratches yet. $ 2.99 fix
I made these little tie down brackets to go on the outside of my saddlebags for my cargo net. I've already installed the lock kit for my RK custom bags and didn't like the face that the original push button was still on the bag. I'll post installed pictures later.
The previous owner had done an antenna delete but one of the holes through the bag didn't have a grommet, leaving a 3/4" hole. I had it duck taped for a while and then after browsing this thread this morning, decided to bore out the hole, tap into the lights, and mount a waterproof USB charger that I had picked up a while ago for $12. I had to push in the felt liner a bit to clear the charger on the inside and I used a little silicone to fill the gap as that area is curved a little bit.
While cleaning my shop, I found a fishing line with a whole bunch of magnets on it, something my father had given me years ago and they have been sitting in my tool box unused. Used a little 3M tape and now I have a magnetic gas cap so that I don't leave it on the pump.
