problem with those transmitters is if youre riding through an area using that station youll lose your streaming.
True, but in my case it wasn't a big problem on my cross country trip this summer. It also has 2 USB ports to charge my phone/camera. I just keep it all in my tourpak cig port. All good!
+1 on the pipes! I did it and it works great! You can use your left muffler bracket for your plate as well! Another DIY is cut off your grab rail and replace it with caps or spikes like I did. Drill and tap grip ends and add spikes adds a custom look. That's just some of what I have done! I am all about saving money and a personal touch! Here are some pics! I know this is a very old post. I've been searching posts for diy 2 into 1, Is that what you did here by capping off the y pipe to the left exhaust? Also wondering if that is the case, how were your long term results? Added heat on the right? any power loss, or gain that you noticed?
Thanks for any feedback.
Not going to lie.......this is fawkin brilliant. I ran out today and installed this very same 'mod' on my bike. Ive been carrying this gawd awful leather wallet thingy in various spots on my bike for almost 15 years and I can never find it when I need it. Bonus, my insurance and registration now smell minty fresh.
While it won't give any of my stuff that "minty fresh" aroma, I keep my registration, insurance card, owner's manual, $20 bill for emergencies and couple of other things in a zip lock bag that I just toss into one of my "unorganized" saddle bags. Doesn't take long but eventually that zip lock bag works it's way to the bottom of the saddlebag. But with the owner's manual in the bag the bag isn't hard to locate if I need to get to it.
