Default Floor Jack Users - Question?

Do you wash your bike up on your jack? My user manual states to not get it wet. Is that an issue?

Thanks in advance,

TR

I only use the jack to wash my wheels and tires. The rest of the bike I was on the kickstand.

Wah the bike on the ground, then lift it up to do the detail work and the wheels.

I've washed my bike on the Red Craftsman bike jack for years. I have never had an issue with the jack not working properly after it's wet. I've always used the black tie-down straps to secure the bike to the jack. This keeps the bike from moving around while in the air. Once I've finished washing,I get out the leaf blower and utilize it to dry the bike. While I'm drying the bike, I dry the jack as well.

I wish I could, my driveway is at too much of an incline.

I've washed mine up on the jack since I got a jack a couple years ago. No problems so far.

I would guess they say not to get the jack wet because of rust issues or perhaps the risk of
high pressure water doing damage to seals on the jack........Don't know!

I've used my jack for years and not had any issues. This is how I wash and detail my ride!

Later...........
