The stock pipes are closer to a 2 into 1 than a dual with crossover. the reason is the stock system has a tee of off the side of the rear cylinder pipe (look under the front of your seat), not a crossover or balance tube like the Bub crossover. The only thing it does is make for a unbalanced system. If the down tube from the rear cylinder connected to the side of the rear cylinder pipe like it connects to the side of the front pipe then it would be a balanced system (with crossover). GliderXXX explained this also. The stock pipe looks good until you see the poor engineering. I sold my stock system (and 2 others) on ebay. I wont put that system back on my bike! I hope I haven't misspelled any words or used improper grammer!
I have the Power Curves on my SG with Reinhardt Mufflers..... The Power Curves are a true tuned header.... Unlike alot of other popularpipes. There is no additional heat that I can feel from the back loop. The peformance difference after addingSE 211s cam and SERT is pull your arms off.....
Someone posted a loss off 20lbs of torque with duals versus 2 into 1s....As I stated no doubt its possible on a stock engine. And not all big money pipes are worth the big money.
I am barely sub 100 Tq out of this combo... I doubt my tuned dual exhausthas left me short ofanything like this sitting on the table.....

I have noticed most people with duals have V&H
