The whole ignition has to come out to get the consoleoff .They will only sell P/Number HD 45962 to qualified Harley technician in Australia. (Great)When you take the chrome key post out its locked with the steering lock on so I cant remove the console as turned full lock to the left.Any more hintsabout this steering lock

i did the exact same thing you did until i read it 3 more times
and used the key to turn
wasted 15 minutes
