Default SERT on 96 road king
My dealer is telling me that i cannot install the sert on a 96 road king.I already installed a new ecm to upgrade i am just wondering if i should try another dealer or an ind....

The dealer is correct. The race tuner can only be used on twin cam 02 and later with delphi injection systems.

I hate to correct you but they came out with the SERT for the M&M fuel injection last year. Part # 32127-03. However it will only fit from 97-01 which does not help our friend above. I've already got mine.

The Power Commander is a fine piece of equipment. My next favorite after the Race Tuner. I don't know what models fit your bike though. I would go to the DynoJet page and see what they offer. I had a PC on my roadglide but it went bad last year.

I have been going through the same problem with my 1996 Ultra. It seems the Power Commander is also only made for 1997 and above. I was looking into the rev-tec DFO to make the needed air-fuel adjustments.

I'll have to check with the dealer but i believe the ecm upgrade was to the 97 model so i may have to research a little more....

Well i just found out the power commander does work with the new ECM....
My harley wrench wasnt sure about the sert but is sopposed to find out and get back with me.....
At least he admitted he didnt know.....
