Man you really just put me in a bad way. I just realized that I installed mine wihtout knowing there was a difference. Now I have to go out in the garage and double-check them. I have to remove then and then re-install them. Damn!
Tom ~ If you got yours from Doug, there is no difference. It's just the S/E adjustables that are specific to F/R...

But since it is the exhaust one that is the extra one, couldn't I put it in the intake because that one requires the shorter one? I don't know, but I am assuming that the threaded portions are the same length in all of them and that the rest of the rod is what is shorter/longer. Isn't this so it is easier to sneak them in without taking the lifter covers off? Or is there some other reason that the SE's have different lengths for the front and rear?

sure and think about it you would still use the same number of turns. the turns are just to get the rod in the middle of the lifter travel and that is controlled by the extended the rod so still use the same number of turns. You can tell the intake pr of se adjby the band on the top of the rod thin band = intakeatleast that is how I remember. they are thesame diameter.

Obviously it is possible to accomplish this as I had mine wrong. If you have the longer one (exhaust) as an extra I would just put it together. Be careful because the locknut is very close to the end of the threads when collapsing the PR enough to sneak it in. It is possible because that is what I did.

Phil I had a set of SE pushrods that a friend gave me. He bought them and never used them.

Dawg, I always wondered about this as well. Would think that if you "snug" up the rod then an additional 2.5 turns, what does it matter which rod is which. Would think that since the exhaust is slightly longer, then putting it in the intake would just make it have slightly less adjustment range in the thread area.

I think the real question is if they are made slightly different for strength or something like that.
