Well, I killed my chirping bird this morning thanks to some of your recommendations! I put my bike on the lift, sprayed silicon on the belt. I figured as long as I had it out I'd hit a few other areas at the same time. Put a few drops on the gizmos that hold the saddlebag lids in place (close to the fender), also on the shock mount rubber grommets, fender mounts, and any other place I could find that had rubber mounts on them. Took her Majesty out for a ride and VIOLA! No chirping bird! Not sure which of these did the trick, I'm just glad the little fellow flew the coupe! Maybe this will help you out, Harley Dave. Good luck, and happy hunting!

On my 03 RKC, I had the chirping with Rinehart TDs. It was the rubber mounts under the bags that support the mufflers. Why it sounds like a chirp, I have no idea.

As others have stated it is most likely the drive belt.
when the belt gets a little loose it will chirp and sound just like it is
coming from the front.
correct procedure is with the rideres weight sitting on it during and adjustment.
That is not always possible so a trial and error method must be used.
Remove saddlebags, get an adpter to work around the exhaust, or remove
rear muffler supports and let sag down below the axleshaft.
Loosen lock nut slightly, tightent the belt adjustment slightly, then tighten everything up
and try riding it.
If need be repeat, but do not over tighten, oly tighten to the belt tension / flex
specifications.
Little practice andyou will get the hang of it.

Holy Cow, gents. I just took my baby in for her first skirt and bra change at 1,081 miles and she did not make any chirp... and I get her back a few hours later with this chirping noise. It's making me a bit upset. I called the dealership, and am supposed to bring it back tomorrow.

You guys say this happens... and it is the belt hun?

I was totally impressed with the dealership doing good things during the oil change. They replaced some small stuff that was stripped on the oil cooler, they corrected the linkage that needed adjusting, they adjusted the clutch cable and other things... until I got on it to ride it home and I have this chirp...
