Default First Oil Change

Getting ready for the first oil change (1000 miles). Anyone using Mobil V-Twin 20w50 in the primary?

Mobil 20W50 Crankcase
Mobil 75W90 Transmission
??????????? Primary

Thanks for the advice

I have it in mine now but going to switch to something else when I run out. I have several bottles on the shelf in the garage.

It works fine, but expensive for the primary. The primary doesn't need that fancy of oil. Just something clutch compatible to keep it cool. But if you don't mind the price it's good stuff.

i've used the mobil synthetic (20W-50) product in the crankcase but that is all....had no problems and will put in my new UC before we head out for a 6 day tour through texas next week.

I just put the same set up that you are inquiring about in my new 08 Ultra and it works great. Yes you can go cheaper in the primary but it's just easier to ad it there also. You don't have to change it as often as the crankcase.

use Mobil MX4T (now called Racing 4T) 10/40W Moto syn in my primary. Have run > 150K miles in various bikes with this oil and no problems.

Use mobil V-Twin in engine and 75/90 Mobil Syn gear oil in the tranny

Can get all three at AutoZone or Kragens
