Default carb/manifold question

Bought '90 Fltcu frame w/127 Ultima w/mikuni45 in Jan., went to start it the other day after the first 3 mile ride since buying, wouldn't start, pulled plugs, no gas, only 2" movement in throttle. Took air cleaner off found carb had slipped down because thier was no gasket or anything at all between carb and air cleaner mount, metal to metal, this bike was built 1,200 miles ago. Lined things up, beautifull day, went for a 20 mile ride, lot of carb backfiring, pulled air cleaner, mount and carb to find seal between carb/manifold was toast, either from carb moving or in correct installation. This engine was installed by a PROFFESIONAL shop, they can't beleive thier was not a gasket or seal between carb and air cleaner mount. Was the carb backfiring due to to much air? were is a good place to get Mikuni parts. and finnally they have autolite plugs in engine, per the Ultima manual they have a hot plug recommended for the 113 not the cold plug recommended for the 127, should I go to that plug or see what happens ww/the hot one? Thanks in advance

Check with your dealer. I'd be surprised if they couldn't help you.

They could order parts for me, I already ordered threw Jireh Parts, I like to do all the work I can and I know I can do this and probably a better job than the shop that put the engine in.
