i'm using 2-piece Front Rotors from PM on my bike. 2-piece means the outerband is bolted on the disk carrier.
After approx. 1000 mls the bolts are loose.Does somebody have the same issue?
Do you mean "bolted", or riveted? Floating rotors are riveted & will loosen some. They shouldn't rattle a lot, but they should have some play in 'em.
there are bolted not riveted. There are 9 boltsand nut's, the nut's are self- locking, but i already lost one.
The reason is - i have the phenomenonwith medium to heavy braking, vibration and squealingis felt throughout the whole bike.I had my bike at the Dealership for the first service an they checked everything out (alignment caliper -disk -hub) all seems ok, but i still have this vibration, squealing
[/align]Any ideas?
Vibration coming from the front or rear? Do you still have the stock rotors? Are the wheels stock?
Isolate the vibration to which wheel, pull the wheel, check the balance, & put both the wheel & rotors on a truing stand & check for runout. If you still have the stock rotors put 'em back on & see if the vibration is still there.
Jinks,
sounds logical, i like it. Thanks for your advise i'll try it. What do you think, the material combination rotor - pad, is there a negative impact?
finally i got rid of my problem. Thanks again for your advise. The key to success was the changeover to LYNDALL Race Pads instead of using the stock pads.
