I see this guys numbers, on his dyno, I also saw a 4th Gear Roll, or pull, I talked to real motorcycle gearheads, they tell me dyno numbers can be deceiving because they do a 5th gear Roll or pull rather than the 4th gear as outlined in the above dyno.
The gearheads stated this could be bragging rights from the bike owner, or deception of the dyno guy giving false numbers to the bike owner, leaving out the 4th Gear Roll.
I would like to see more software packages list the 4th gear Roll, to keep things on the up and up.
Reminds me of the butcher putting his thumb on the scale when weighing the meat!
I've seen a post before outlining the difference between 4-5-6 gear pulls. The chart showed with every increase in gear the power and tq went up proportionally. If I wanted bragging rights, I'd show the picture of a 6th gear run.
I'm looking for feedback for a place called joe's cycles in Albany NY area. I am wondering if they r experts with the power vision tuner and dyne..Had my bike upgraded to a 107 and the FM canned map needs tweeking..

True numbers are only reported by a dyno if the bike is in 1:1 gear ratio. On a 5sp, this is 5th, on a 6sp, this is 6th.
Lots of shops will do one gear down because of the fact a WOT pull at 5k will have that rear tire flying, bad tires are dangerous on a dyno.
If we want to truly compare peak dyno numbers, why would we not want to look at the 6th gear (true 1:1 final drive ratio) runs? Why even log 4th or 5th gear runs other than for tuning purposes?

Top gear pulls give the truest results.
... that was the point I was trying to make with my previous post.
My .drf file indicates a speed of 132 mph at a shut down of 5,800 rpm. I am not sure if that is calculated from drum speed or directly from the ECM/SEPST. Maybe someone with more DynoJet knowledge could chime in here. It would make the most sense that it was from the ECM/SEPST since actual speed with my tire size (200/50/17) and sprocket (30-T) is 105 mph at 5,888 rpm in 6th gear. The indicated 132 mph would be about right for an erroneous speedometer read with my tire size, sprocket and speedometer error.
Stock 103 (no head work, stock pistons, and stock valve springs)
Screaming Eagle Super Tuner
D&D Fat Cat wrapped perforated baffle
SE Extreme Billet A/C
Andrews 55HG Gear Drive Cams
31 tooth front sprocket
On the dyno it made 100.8 HP, and 109.1 TQ

I love the idle!
This thing rips, hauls *** from 2000 to 6200 RPM ( that's where I shift if on it hard, but it never stops pulling hard) it's ready to go right when you take off and never stops pulling all the way to redline, it really pulls on your arms. This thing is a hoot to ride; it will break the tire loose in first and second if you hit it too hard. I'm having a blast!
