I want to move my TMAT to my new to me 07 electra glide and put back the factory ECM into the 02 Road Glide. Is there something I can do to reinitialize the factory ECM to my 02 Road Glide or do I have to take it to the dealer? If someone has the procedure for reinstalling the factory ECM I'd like to see it.
I would guess that reinstalling the factory ECM shouldn't
be an issue as long as it was running in the first place.
The ECM is what controls everything so your injectors etc
wouldn't know the difference that the Tmaxx was gone and the ECM was back running the show.
I'll try that, but when I asked the dealership they said I would have to reteach the ECM to the bike. I don't trust a word the dealership says that is why I am trying to get verification here.

If your bike's stock ECM has been programmed with a Stage download in the past, you'll want to spend around $40 to have it changed back to stock before adding a new tuner.
