I have wanted to get ghost flames painted on the ultra since I got it. What I want is the flames to be tinted with a different color pearl so the will be hardly noticeable against the glacier white pearl paint, till the light hits them. I want the pinstripes to stay, so the bike looks stock till you see the flames poppin out in the light.
I went to a local painter that came highly recommended by the indy I go to and he said wouldn’t do that. All he would do is paint the flames coming off the pinstripes. Now I realize he is a pro and I am not, but I think my idea would look good, what do you guys think???
I have seen silver ghost flames on white pearl. \\; It is only noticable close up and from about 20 feet you can not even tell it's done. \\; Good luck and I say you should do what you want to do.
BamBam, Check out Jimmy Defew in Western Kentucky, he does some of the best flames of anybody that I've seen. \\; His web site is \\; \\; 1ofdefew.com \\; or call him at 270-527-8043 \\; He painted 2 bikes for my daughter and we were very pleased with his work. \\; His last bike he painted for her was pearl white with blue real fire flames and it looks great.
