I have noticed that sometimes when I hit he start button, but the bike does not start, I will get a "puff" from the front exhaust head area. Yesterday it also did this and died on me while sitting at a red light..........Also, if I am just sitting still and twist the throttle real quick, it sounds like a small puff from that same front area. What do you think could cause this?

My bike has about 6 weeks left on warranty so I want to get it fixed if you think is something wrong. I know HD's make so many dang noises that it may just be normal??????
Probably just compression being released. I was told with my 103" to start it to bump the start button first, it releases the pressure, then hit it again to start it after that. And you can hear and feel (if your standing behind the exhaust) the pressure being released.
Let the dealer look at it before the warranty expires. On the other hand, make sure the nuts that secure the pipe flange to the head are tight. Mine tend to loosen. \\;
It's \\;high compression caused when you try to start the bike while hot after just a short time off. \\; Compression hasn't had time to leak down yet. \\; My 88" never did it, my 96" does it regularly. \\; Annoying.

AC= air cleaner. I have a 103 with 13k on it and never had any of these issues. Sounds like an exhaust leak. As mentioned ck the nuts and get to dealer before your out of the computer.
