So I only notice it yesterday for the first time. Kinda like a bus or truck air break hiss...[&:] \\;Did it three times this morning on the way to work. I try to recreate it, but no luck. It just does it when it does it. I think it is in the gear box... like the gear enguaging maybe? seems to be while I am off the throttle. Thought maybe one of you guys could shed some light on the subject. My guess is the dealer will tell me it is normal...[:@]

Thanx,

Is it happening in a curve? \\; I have an '08 RK and I have noticed a few times lately, in a curve, this weird tire noise, kinda what you are describing. Scared the crap out of me first time, thought the tire was going flat. \\; Have heard it a few times since, but now that I know it's tire and road surface noise I don't panic as much. \\; Just kinda tightens the butt cheeks when I hear it for a second.
I did not notice if I was in a turn or not, but I know what your saying with the butt cheak tightening...lol it's kinda like "@!$@%$ WTF was that????" grabs your attention for sure... I will have to check the tire pressure later... I thought it was the tranny for sure... happened once in 4th, and twice in fifth... if that even means anything...LOL
Could it be pressure build up ?
Make sure oil level is not too high.
What kind of oil do you use ?
Did it happen before ?
 \\;
Keep us posted.

The hissing I heard on my 08 occured just before the fuel pressure regulator clip went out and I lost all the pressure in the gas line. \\; It is now headed up to the dealer to wait on a part to fix it. \\; \\; The part is back ordered as it is a problem with the 2008 models. \\; This is per my dealer. [:@] \\; Good luck and if it decides to die on you, I hope you are in a good spot.
