Yeah, no matter what mileage?

Any labor on the first service is a rip-off since it is really just the final once-over for the initial setup, for which we have already paid, presumably.

After that, the different checkups have different things which need doing, some of them rather more labor-intensive than others. How can they charge a flat fee no matter which checkup is being performed unless they are skipping all but the stuff we could easily do ourselves at home?

I think it is a good idea to change the oils and filter early on a new bike, the first change normally get rid of all the foreign materials left over from the manufacturing proccess.

Not sure but 1600KM is about 1000 mile, so you are right there. Change you oil IMO. Good luck
