Newbie Here, HI guys I have read all the responses on this issue and I have a question. I recently bought a 1999 EG standard with 12,00 miles on it. The bike is immaculate and I like it , but I have what I term a wiggle in the front end that shakes my grips side to side. It is not a heavy shake but it is present and very annoying.....Now my question; is this due to the fairing? or something else? If it is due to the fairing will those little adjustable air deflectors offer some improvement? All input and advice welcomed.....Thanks in advance. Steve

More than likely its your wheel bearings or your tire pressure, the wobble that this thread is about is the rear.
I had a True-Trak installed before I even picked up my new '07 Ultra. I had heard enough about the wobble to know I didn't want to take a chance. This year on the way to Sturgis my buddy got to feel the wobble in a corner and asked if I had any problem in the same corner. I had none!! Needless to say my buddy bought a True-Trak in Rapid City shortly after we got there. He couldn't be happier!!!
Thanks for the report. First I have seen on this on the 09. Hopefully more experience will come in on the 09s handling soon.

Someone mentioned to me (a someone in the legal field) that we may never see a change in the engine/frame setup on these bikes. In a legal sense, if H-D put in a piece in the rear that does what other stabilization pieces do, it would be in a sense admitting there is a problem and would open them up for all sorts of litigation. It could be over the years something could "morph" into a stabilization setup but don't count on it.

Yeah that sounds about right, they need to cover their *** at all times.
Ok, I installed the Bagger - Brace on Friday night, install took about 1 1/2 hour and made to phone calls to Ron at Phoenix customs who was very helpful. Due to Ms. Hanna hitting the NY area Saturday afternoon and family requirements on Sunday my ride time this weekend was about 100 miles.
I can't do a comparison to any other brace as I have never tried them, the decision to go with the Bagger Brace was made based on various post on the froum, an old Bagger magazine artical that did not comare the bagger brace but did side by side compariaons of of four others and basically stated they all did about an equal job. Oh and of course $$$$.
With all that being said i can state that the brace has made a tremendous difference in the handalling of my 07 UC, noticable not only in the curves but handleing bumps and other road issues. The bike is much more stable doing 80 down the highway and in the curves it is like a difference bike, where I would scrap the floor boards on a rare occosion in the past I did it serveral time this weekend with out even trying or changing my riding style.
Thanks,
that helps me a loy. I am waiting to see if Ron gets this thing integrated with the HD center stand. I currently have a vWOWv center stand and like it for the room it saves in my already cramped garage. Ron said he was working on getting his bagger brace compliant with the HD stand.
Thanks for the review. Darren...where are you?...
I'm STILL waiting on mine to show up. I called Ron last Wednesday and he was shipping it USPS Thursday morning. I was hoping the postman would make the delivery today but not a chance. Here's hoping for tomorrow.
I'll take pics and certainly report my findings ASAP. I'm certain it will be worth the wait though.
