Hope that helps.
It's GREAT isn't it? I told my friend to buy it and I'll put it on, and if he didn't think it was worth every penny I'd pull it off and buy it from him. I could do without a lot of the upgrades I've made but there's no going back to the pre-stabilizer state.

Front fork stabilizers (dampers) have become commonplace on sportbikes now, and no lawsuits were involved. I actually removed mine, I don't like how it affects my steering feel.

Fact is, even if there is a "wobble" (Lord knows I've actually tried many times to create the "known" conditions on my '08 to no avail.), those that reported it were usually well above the legal speeds in a corner no less - which could easily be a defence.

I've have little experience with pre '08 bikes, so maybe a "wobble" exists. Otherwise, it kinda reeks of the whole Audi "unintended acceleration" thing to me. I'm reading about guys buying these without even finding out for themselves if they need it...weird stuff.

I've felt it, on numerous occasions (at least 1000 or more) over the last 67,500+ miles. And that's on this Road King that I bought new off the showroom in 2000. I've gotten to the point that I almost know when it's going to start. I'm waiting for the right solution, and it sounds to me (JMHO) that the Bagger Brace is the way to go. I'm waiting with baited breath to hear Darren give us all an update, and photos to support the instal. But I've also come to the conclusion that any of these products are going to help the situation. (I too, have NO DOG in this fight) And I'm only interested in a solution that actually WORKS, Safely, and relatively reasonable in price. Oh, and to the Dude with the RG that compared the RK to the Hayabusa, well, just be glad you haven't felt it. You probably aren't riding it hard enough to ever exhibit the problem. Or you lucked out and got the ONLY frame HD has ever made in the touring line that is rigid enough to never display these tendencies. Ok Darren, what's the news?

Not try to sell any style or brand , I installed a Bagger brace on my 2008 SG . So easy a caveman could do it .What a difference in ride and the handling is amazing . If you are thinking about a stabilizer do it . As for the Bagger brace ,Ron was awesome to deal with and the quality was second to none, simple install in less than 1 hour Best $289.00 I have spent .

Default Jack and Bagger Brace

Has anyone used a jack similar to pitbull or J&S with a crossmember mounted stabilizer? I called Bagger and J&S, they both said no problem. Just wondering if it harmed the stability of the bike while on going up as the rear end would rise first.

I have the Alloy Art rear stabilizer on my bike and use the Craftsman yellow jack for all maintenance and washes, it usually takes me 2 or 3 tries but once the bike is balanced it goes up without any problems....in fairness it took me 2 or 3 tries before the brace was on there anyway.

I have a 2007 Electra Glide Classic. Notice the wobble, at various times, and was a little unsettling. Thanks for the great advice. At 10,000 miles, I had an out of town HD dealer perform the service, and install a new rear tire. A Dunlap OEM type. What a difference, it was like a different bike. I got a couple of months and 2000 miles down the road, and picked up a nail in the rear tire, during a HD dealership ride. We got it back to the local shop, and again, a Dunlap OEM tire was installed. After that tire change, the bike was like riding on marbles. It was horrible, and downright scary. Took it back, and the dealership checked everything out, and said everything was in spec. Rode it to work for a week, and it was still horrible. Took the bike back, and the dealership handed me a printed form, with many check boxes to indicate how, why and when the wobble occurs. I filled out the form.

Later the dealer called, said they had three staff ride it, and two techs work on it, and nothing was wrong. And, this time, I would get a $300 bill. After exchanging 1/2 of colorful language with several staff members regarding my opinion of them, the bill was reduced to $50, and finally eliminated.

Bike still rode like crap, and I decided to live with until the next tire replacement. And I hated it. Then I found this forum, read this topic, and decided to purchase the Bagger Brace. Ordered it last Tuesday, and it showed up Friday. Nice staff to deal with.

Put the Brace on Saturday, and had to call Ron at Bagger Brace for assistance. He answered on his cell, at his home, and was extremely helpful. The kit is very well made, and fit like a glove. Directions were a little hard for me to follow, that is why I called Ron.

I ride 75-80 miles a day, grooved highways and local roads. The BB has improved the ride. I still get some groove catching, but I believe it is the tires, as the front has about 20% life left. Overall, a positive experience, and I do highly commend the staff I dealt with.

Thats good feedback, I think you will find if you get rid of the Dunlops and go with Metzler the groove wobbles will go away.
