I know I asked this question a while back but since the upgrade I cant seem to find all my old posts, so please dont flame me.
I installed Hooker Tuned Flow Slip-Ons with a FuelMoto PCIII. Bike runs great, but I get a bit of popping out the exhaust on decel. I know I was told to put sealer on when I put the slip-on on when I asked before. Is there a specific type that I should be using, right now I dont have any but I want to get that done this weekend. Do I put the sealer in the head pipe then put the muffler on or do I put it on the muffler first? I will be getting new clamps also just to make sure they are good.

Thanks
I used new clamps and anti-sieze compound (Permatex). Apply it on both the muffler and pipe, then slip it on. I've no problems with decel popping, and I understand it is a function of air leakage around the mufflers, as you suggest. Jamie at Fuel Moto says other factors may be involved and that some pop, some don't.
The anti-sieze compound not only helps to seal, but keeps rust away making removal easier at a later date. Also, torque clamps to 60 lb/ft.

Is there a certain anti-seize for heat? I did talk to Jamie and he said that same thing, I just could not remember what type of sealer I had to use. He said to get that done and if it still pop's we will tweek the PCIII map. I want to stop by the parts store on my way home from work to pickup whatever I need. I was also told that it has to dry before starting it.
