Can I put HD 255 Cams in a stock 96" motor?

Why? Get some gear drive cams.

You can, I'd recommend seeing if your dealer has a big bore/cam installation deal, you'll get a bigger bang for your buck.

I got a guy giving me a good deal on them if they'll work. Less than $200 for cams, pushrods and springs.

I would have to get them installed on my own. Just trying to figure out if they will work and if its worth it.

That's a good deal on the parts. One of my riding buds has them in a 07 Road Glide. They sound and perform real well, but he has a full stage 2 setup. I'd buy them and do a big bore kit at the same time when I installed them. It won't cost that much more, and it's a pretty good bang for the bucks.

Theres two types of 255 cams the ones that come in the 103 big bore kit are covered under warranty and the Screaming eagle 255 that have +4 timing with no warranty

Doc 1 has some good advise on cams, inclusing the SE255 in the following thread.
