I put one on mine too, but it's kinda hard to open. Seems to bind. Have to push it a few times to get it to open. Mine is the smooth one with no key in it. Maybe I should lube it... Hmmm. I'm reminded about every 225 miles.. Hehe
Chicago HD shows...#53919-04 and #53919-04A..what's the difference?
The "A" model comes with a spring clip that is used to make it work better on the 08 and 09 style gas caps. If you have a pre 08 bike you can get either, but if you get the "A" kit you just wouldn't use the spring clip.
Your fingers must be tiny. Mine, I have to use a pencil to push the button in to release the cap. My finger is too fat to push it in enough to trigger the un-lock mechanism
Your fingers must be the size of hot dogs. I'll bet the women like you.

You don't even need to buy the push button. Open the fuel door, remove the nut from the bottom side of the lock, lift the lock out and turn it 180 degrees so the latch points inward, replace the lock and tighten the nut on the bottom. Close the door and it looks original with the lock in place. Press on the bottom edge of the fuel door and the door will open without the key. I did this on my '96 FLHTCI and have not had any problems in 100,000 mile, and I even saved the $20 for the push button.
