I've had the Deltran for a long time. Works great. And they stand behind their product. First one didn't work quite right (light issues as I recall), and I called them and they just sent me another one. Paid for me to ship it back to them. Pretty good deal these days.

I also have the Battery Tender Jr. I bought at Wallie world for $25.00 3 bikes ago It came with all you need to hook it up. southside HD here In Indianapolis already had my bike wired to accept the Battery tender.. they work great and are a must for winter storage...

OK, what's the trick to getting the negative battery post off? I tried to install the pigtail for my battery tender the other day and didn't have enough clearance to remove the dang nut from the neg. terminal.

The plastic case that the wiring harness runs up under the gas tank is in the way, I can almost but not quite het the nut off. This is on an '07 Ultra.

Odd one homebrew. My 08 has a plug pre-wired...I'd think you have one too.

Do you have the ECU on a cover under your seat? If so, after that plastic valance is removed the battery access is pretty direct. Do you have pics?
