vibration in right floor board what did i do wrong

Default vibration in right floor board what did i do wrong
just installed heat shields on the thunderheader now I have vibration on the right floor board--what did I do wrong--the bolts that hold the floorboard are not squeezing the bracket but they are secure

Need more info... sounds like a clearance problem when the engine is running...

correct the piece that the floor board attaches to is touching the heatshield--I don't see how I can get heatshield closer to the pipe

That is your vibration! Can you gently bend the heat shield away from the floor board?

Check to make sure the heat shields are installed correctly before bending. Good luck...

Take off the floorboard and use thick washers between the frame and floorboard mount to move it out away from the heat shields. Some after-market exhaust systems come with these spacers.

Instead of bending anything just place a few washers on the bolts holding the floorboard mounts to the frame. That should give you a bit more clearance with out being overly obvious.

Time for some floorboard spacers, like say 3/4" to 1".
