Lightbulb anyone add driving lights?

Has anyone added driving lights to their scoot, and if so can I hook them up to the
acc switch? Is that switch protected by a fuse already? If I hook up to it do I need to use a relay or can I wire them directly to the switch? These are the light I am using

the switch is relayed to a plugg under the seat it is fused. the plugg uses duetch conecters . in the plugg there are 4 holes one is a nutreal one is hot on the acc switch one it on the ignition switch one is hot use a tester to figure out witch one is witch. the duetch connectors are avaliable at the dealer really inexpesive SUPRISE they crimp to your wires and plugg into socket under seat the socket has a rubber plugg on cover it should be right on top or just in front of battery.

I bought Motolights, expensive but maybe the best out there. The kit they sent me was designed for my '07 Ultra and wired easily to the acc switch and operate independently from the other lights on the bike as a result. You can't go wrong using the acc switch if you wire the rest of it correctly.

If your light kit doesn't come with the Deutsch connector (as the Motolights does), you can buy the HD "Supplemental 12V Power Point," part no. 91843-97, that has the correct connector at one end and a cigarette lighter outlet at the other end. Simply cut-off the cigarette lighter and splice in your aux. light wiring. Or, have the parts guy do a print-out of the accessory Power Point and buy the connector, lock, and sockets to assemble your own--I did this for a cost of $6, but didn't save the part nos. The Deutsch connector accepts 4 wires, but you will only need chambers 1-ground and 4-power--they're numbered.

Good luck with your project.

Harleyrider,

I noticed in the Ebay adv. that the lights fit 1" bars. Are you installing themon your crash/highway bars? I thought they are 1 1/4", maybe?!?!
