I guess it is HARD to get an answer of the draw from the rest o the stuff. (EFI etc)..I have the 38 amp alt. 07 FLSTSC. I have my spots always on ( wired that way) WHEN low beams only. I wonder now, if I can use all my gerbings stuff? I have an ADDITIONAL 14.4 in gerbings at full output.
anybody ever put an amprobe on their scoot?

My 08 Ultra was wired the same on the head light and never had a prob with me and the wife in heated gear with the high beams on. Thats gloves and jackets for both of us.
My HD dealer sells both and I definitely needed to try the glove on. The Gerging jacket was about $20 less than HD and I believe the G3 gloves were too. I don't think you would want to run them on an unfused line for sure.
Went with Warm and Safe (http://www.warmnsafe.com/ ) for my wife. I have HD/Gerbing and have been using it for three seasons. IMHO, the Warm and Safe is a better, closer fitting product. They too, have an outlet from their web page.
Riding the heck out of the bikes and staying warm, in Las Vegas. Yes it does get cold here
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. Gerbings makes the gloves for HD. HOWEVER, HD's gloves have a one-year warranty on the electrical components, while Gerbings (the very same glove) have a LFETIME warranty for the same electrical components. They cost the same.
I bought the Gerbings because of the warranty issue.
The HD stuff has a 1 year on the garment and a lifetime on the heating elements. That is right in the descriptions on the HD website, and in the manuals.
I have tried the G3s and the T5s. I'd recommend the T5s b/c they have a larger guantlet piece than the G3s however they are more expensive by $30 or $40.

is that ultra 50 amps or 38? I AM gonna change the rear brake and turns to led's with turns always running lights too. I imagine that'll be less amp draw!?

All '07 and later FLH bikes have 50A three-phase alternators.
