Question Reach handlebar install

I own a 2002 FLHRI RK and saw the "reach" bars in the hd catalog for vertically challenged riders. I would like to install them but am wondering on the width of the grips. The catalog says it relocates 3 1/2" closer to the rider but doesn't say anything about the width. My arms stretch forward now with stock bars and are too wide for long trips. Anyone know? Also, it doesn't say a brake hose is needed but when I glanced at the bike that seems the only thing to me that must be installed longer. Plan on purchasing all the wire and cables but no brake hose? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Happy Riding

I have these on my '99. I like them very much. Brings the bars closer, and with a little narrower grip. I did have to extend my wires, and was able to put them inside the bars for a cleaner look. I did NOT have to change the break line, but had to bend it a little (very carefully) to make it fit.

Here is a great link on how to change them out. www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/hbar/hbar.htm
