Many crashes here, face plants, rolling yard sale crashes, full on face first brush tours all at speeds of 15 mph to 20 mph -- on my Downhill mountain bike.

I wouldn't wear an open face helmet on my DH bike and the speeds are much higher on a motorcycle. RF1000 for me.

I bought a Vega today, doesn't have the mushroom head look that my Shoei did.
I now have more of an "eraser head" look... :-)

Good to hear, since that's one that I'm looking at seriously. I'm looking for the flat rubber black one, so the search is on!

Tks for the input!

Yeap... that's the one I got. I think you'll like it. Paid about $50.00 at a bike show.

Just got my Super Seer mod 1602 last week love it . Had HCI and Shoei 1/2 helmets before. The Seer sits down more over your ears not on top of your head, more stream lined + it's got the nap strap which allows you to snug the fit up.I got the removable comm. ears for the Scala rider speakers. Having a little trouble getting used to the quick release buckle though. I've got the dexterity of a tree stump. Nice craftmanship too.Starts at about 230.00 They'll paint any Harley color you want.

Well if you ever do go down (heaven forbid), I hope that DOT sticker acts as a extra layer of protection for you.
