Has anyone else heard this?
Rumor has it that HD will not be producing the RG anymore, and that they have something else in mind.
Would love to know if this is just dealer BS or if true.
Thnx,
hope they replace it with another fixed fairing. Got a chance to ride one the other day and i really liked it, way different then my batwing fairing. I'd had one if I rode that before my streetglide. Besides it LOOKS WAY COOLER. LOL I've stirred it up now, better put my helmet on.
In the other thread I am of the opinion that there will be another fixed fairing model. I think HD is doing some rethinking. Then again...... might mean lean times for MOCO.
it's obvious from recent news reports that HD is bracing for a VERY rough ride over the next 1-2 years. They are having a huge problem with liquidity due to the fact that they can no longer sell their debt to wall street, that's why no more 0 down easy credit. That means lower sales, and less cash flow in for R&D, promotions, etc. That being said, it doesn't surprise me one bit if Hd is looking to stream line the product line, that way they can lay more people off, and cut production costs....my prediction is that HD will drop at least 3 models...RG is NOT the most popular Touring model, and therefore will be on the chopping-block.....
