I just bought the HID light for my 2010 SG. It came to around $515.00. So are you saying I won't like the light at all. I have read several reviews, and they all stated they loved it (except for the price).
Is it really bright? Does it look like the BMW's and the Lexus' when they turn on their lights.?
The HID from FastHarley are 6000 K. They throw the same light as as the Beemer and Lexus. If you go to Howards site, I think he still has my pictures and video on how the bulbs switch from high to low as well as the step by step install.
I'm not a fan of MOCO's reflectors, but since I changed them, the light has been fantastic. FastHarleys customer service has been second to none for me. The 4300K's do not hold a candle to the 6K's. I've never been hasseled by the leo's. Some of the Victories and some sport bikes are already putting them on since I was first in my area. They do get the attention of the cagers more so that normal.
I have had my HIDs for about a year and have not had any issues. I also have never been stopped and hassled by the police. I drove across the country this Summer and did not get hassled in any of the states I rode through.
BIG WASTE OF MONEY. If you look at the charts in the catalog, the DUAL HALOGEN headlamp, which costs about $160.00, gives you approximately the same distance of lighted vision. The HID, which costs approximately $500, may be brighter, but the cost difference the small amount of additional lighted vision you get, it is not worth the money. This accessory is way overpriced and will consume a lot of amps which you might need for other things.
+1. contact daniel stern lighting and get you some osram bulbs about 40.00 each. good bang for the buck.....
