I bought this helmet. Have worn it both with the visor or with the face shield (you can wear it either way. Fits well, feels good. The cost at the dealer was no more than anyone elses out there.
Anybody with the Shoei RJ Platinum R have their visor snaps come loose which makes the visor rattle when riding? I tried to tighten the snaps to no avail and Shoei sent me a new visor at no charge. Seems when I took the visor off it loosened the visor snaps and they never worked right again.
Boy, I'll second this! The snaps rattling will drive you nuts. Great helmet otherwise, but does someone have a suggestion to quiet down the snaps rattling on the visor?

Hmmm....I've got an RJ Platinum R and so far, I haven't had any issues with the Visor snaps (knock on wood).
Probably the easiest solution is to buy a new visor (stupid to 'have' to do this, but a solution, none-the-less).
I bought a NEXX-X60 with open/close air vents, articulating external face shield and a super neat quick release ratchet strap with padded chip guard.
The helmet is super light and the air vents allow me to wear it on 100+ degree AZ days.
I love the helmet but I think the company SUCKS; I dont believe that they could tell the truth if their life depended upon it! Once they ran my credit card (twice) it took several calls and threatening e-mails before they finally shipped and they didnt ship the right color but I actually like this one better than the one I ordered.
I'm looking for a 3/4 helmet for my daughter, she's outgrown the size S she's been using the past few years. I'd like to find a size M for her, so if anyone out there has one laying around let me know.
I've debated going to a 3/4 helmet from my 1/2 helmet..........but the hard part is finding one to fit my size 8 1/4 head.
