Default New Shifter Peg Install Question
Hi All, as upgrades continue forward, I have purchased some new shifter pegs to replace the rubber ones on my 06 RKC. Question is I dont see how the old ones come off. The outside end is rubber and there doesnt seem to be a bolt head on the end facing the motor? Any help would be appreciated. -John

Channel locks and twist, lefty = loosen, OEM pegs are useless so don't worry about damaging the rubber.

Cut the rubber off and use a pair of vicegrips. Thats what I had to do.

I used vice grips on the rubber and remover mine with no problem.

I did the same, channellocks on the rubber and spun her off. The rear one came off easier then the front one though. But both were not to difficult.

Buy billet shift levers and remove them with the pegs. That is what I did. Otherwise, use some plyers.

use the channel locks on the rubber close to lever.they're loaded up with locktite so they will fight you a little bit
