The helmet I had was a HD Carbon Kevlar 1/2 and the HD classic leather which I gotta say it didn't rip or tear just scuffed up a bit! As far as I'm concerned the helmet worked great and plan on buying another. As far as the old guy I haven't talked to him or his insurance. I'm waiting for the police report. I contacted my insurance and hopefully I'll be able to get the king fixed in a week or two and that'll be how long it takes for me to get better. Now that the weather is breaking I need to be riding again. I was feelin pretty crappy about what happened but now I'm thinking that I was pretty lucky.
