I was riding my 05 ultra classic and for no reason my gauges went dead.
My bike runs great, I have 37000 miles on it. I was going 55 mph it started to rain I looked at my speedometer all my gauges stopped working. The check engine light does not come on at all to do a system check. When the gauges went out the security light came on. The high beam indicator light works, the tach and speedometer lights work but the gauges do not. The cruise control works but the cruise indicator light does not work. The fuel, oil pressure, bolt and air temp gauge lights do not work. My bike continued to run fine. I turned it off and restarted it and the gauges still did not go back on. I changed all fuses still nothing.
I can not figure out why this happened or how to fix it, any ideas???
All the gauges and their respective lamps, with the exception of the clock (if so equipped) are fed by a common wire which draws power from the accessory breaker via ignition switch.
