I just got a call from the service dept. at my Moco. I've got a cracked engine mount! Fortunately, it's covered under warranty. But after only two weeks easy riding? What's up with that?
A new improved front rubber mount will be introduced as a
running change on all 2006 Touring model motorcycles.
Thanks for providing the service bulletin. However, I'm still a little unclear. By "running change" does it mean that 2006 touring models do not have the new rubber mount installed but are installed as necessary when the old mount cracks? That seems a bit weird for a part that's so critical and potentially dangerous if it malfunctions.
Normaly they will change design of parts etc for a new model year. Running change means that HD phased in the new motor mount in the running production of a given model year. You will find new and old style on the 2006 bike up to a certain VIN number. Have it changed to the new style and be done with it
Just checked mine and I have the old style. (06' Street Glide). Don't think it's broken or cracked. Wonder if the dealer will change it out if it's not broken????

Mine is too, according the service guy. He didn't replace it since there was nothing wrong with it.
