Default SG Radio Question

One of the primary reason's I'm buying a SG is the full dress fairing and radio. Read a review of a recent purchaser who said the radio was crap after 50 mph. Since I drive mostly highway that is not good for me.

I use mine all the time over 50mph with no problems.

Mine works fine at 75-80 mph and I'm nearly deaf.

I just purchased a new 09 SG, the radio was one of the reasons for buying the bike. The radio is barely understandable when riding with a half helmet at 70-80mph due to the wind noise in my ears. I was very disappointed, because my riding keeps me on the interstates at these speeds. However, earplugs eliminate the wind noise and YEAH I can hear the radio at any speed now. It could use some more power(amp) and better speakers, but for now it's perfect.

Sounds crazy but use ear plugs and at the speeds listed, 60, 65, 70, you can still hear the radio very well, or at least I can. And about half the time I am riding with a full-face helmet.

Tell me more about the headsets.

I still need plugs with a full-face and windsheild?

I don't have any complaints re: volume at highway speeds.

But the basic speaker quality (at any speed) is just begging for an upgrade. Hogtunes!
