What doesn't your dealer understand about Deceptive Trade Practices and other consumer protection statutes that you can hit them with? If you were in Texas, I'd have some suggestions for you -- not trolling here, but just trying to help. Sound like you should never bought a Harley if you where so enamored with GW.

SG and RK No problems.
Yeah, it is at the dealer, the one that told us to drive it in when it died, the one who caused us to have a $229 tow bill. The dealer that had the bike for a week and said it was fixed. They said it was fixed again this morning and now it isn't. You can hate me all you want I don't really care what you think. Yes we love our Gold Wing and hope to love our Harley too!

Lemon law in my state says if your vehicle has the same problem 3 times in 15,000 miles they have to replace it. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, 2 times is quite enough.

I bought my bike about 3 months ago, I had some problems with it. I took it back they said it was fixed, however when I rode it, I found that it was not. I TOOK IT BACK, PARKED IT IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE, WENT IN AND GOT THE GM, GAVE HIM THE KEYS AND TOLD HIM I WAS RETURNING THE PIECE OF ****. The GM was hot and asked me what had happened, when I told him he went into the dealer screaming at the top of his lungs and called his sales staff and service people into the show room, gave them a good verbal *** kicking, he then asked me to let him take care of the problem, 5 mins later he gave me keys to a new bike...

If I was you I would go to the GM and tell him to take it back, either give you a different bike, if he doesn't then just walk away and then call your finace company and tell them what happened. I guarantee you they will take care of it then. You should not have to pay for a piece of ****, and thats what they gave you... I know how you feel because now all of your Joy and excitement is gone. GIVE IT BACK!!!!

Talked to the GM of the dealer we purchased the bike from. She didn't really care about the problems we are having with the bike and told me the bike should have been brought to their service department, which is more 3 hours from our home. Her service department told us to take it to the nearest dealer and that is what we did. If the problems continue they will be getting the bike back. We just want them to fix the bike and pay the tow bill since they told us to drive it in.

Check lemon laws 3 times for same problem in a 90 day period is lemon and you can return the bike. I would make the dealer give you another bike immediately before this one gets too long in the tooth. Tell the dealer you are going to put your money in an attorney and you will get the new bike for free and the attorney fees paid. He will own a lemon and be out 25K. Then DO IT. Name HD in the suit as well for production of the lemon...add 100K for trouble. Put a price on your time and irritation 20K, add potential danger in breaking down for you and SO...another 20K...split proceeds 50/50 with attorney...he will do it all day long. It will be over soon!

each bike is different,my 09 ultra has simialar problems, first time it went into limb mode then shut down,by the time the tow truck showed up it started and had him follow me home that was a sat. nite, the next sunday take my daughter for a ride was about 8 miles out we stopped to get something to drink and when we started out again it went into limb mode again but was able to ride it home very slowly, later started right up and had no problem so took it to work,on the way home it did it again,so I had the dealer come and get it and ripped the servise manager a new one, this was the second time it had been in for this, they kept the bike for 3 days and found that it was the voltage,it seems there are two pins in the throole that got pinched and was screwing up the voltage causeing the computer to send it into limb mode, have the bike back and 3000 miles since it was in with no problems
good luck
