It doesn't matter what brand or model you ride or drive, when you have problems with a new purchase, it's frustrating for sure. Hard to be philosophical when your stuck on the road and say, "stuff happens". I have two HD's, both purchased new, with thousands of trouble-free miles on each. Neither one has ever seen the inside of a dealership since purchase.
Good luck with your problems. Hopefully they'll get it all sorted out and yeah, you most definitely should get reimbursed for that tow - it's covered under your HOG membership.
Sorry to hear about your troubles....Have faith in the dealer to get the problems resolved. I have an 05 King I bought new it runs strong and hasn't had a single problem since I bought it. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I can tell you that at Gettysburg Harley the service department is top notch. I have had friends that have dealt with them and have been totally happy. I deal with Laugermans in York and have had nothing but a positive response. I like you have and 09 the first 1000 miles were trouble free after the first service which was done by Laugermans the bike keep throwing a trouble code took the bike in and they said it was a radio problem. Ok, no problem they fixed within 30 minutes. Didnt bother me i looked around and spent 100 buck , thats whet HD means right....lol. About a week later went to start the bke and it started but no throttle. Shi* I called laugermans and we went thru the trouble codes and still nothing. They sent a truck and trailer and hauled the bike to their shop. After about 4 hours they called and said the bike was fixed it was a bad connector under the seat. So I have nothing but good things to say about them for their service. As far as your towing bill thing , well insurance, HOG membership or the dearler should cover I am not sure of the maxium taht each will cover but of the three the dealer should cover it since it is a warrenty issue. Just my 2 cents.
HOG will pay $100 of the tow and HD has agreed to pay the other $129.50. We are thankful for that and hopeful the bike will be problem free when we pick it up on Friday evening.
Thanks again, everyone, for your input.
We will keep you posted. All good news from now on, hopefully.

I don't give out my personal information. I have already contacted Harley Davidson customer service and they are working with me. Thank you.
Sorry to hear you're having problems. I've got 4,000 trouble free miles on my '09 so far. Hopefully they'll get it fixed for you and you can just enjoy the heck out of it. Good luck and keep us informed.
I hope you did not think I wanted any personal info. I was simply providing an Email address as well as some correspondence from Harley when I posted the information to them about the problem you were having. They don't have an Email address on their website and I thought it might be useful to others as well

Oh, thank you, I will keep the address for the future.
