Default Got some Chubby's

Just got back from an hour ride after installing some Wild Ones 508 handlebars and all I can say is wow. What a major difference in comfort and riding posistion. I was considering going with the Heritage bars but IMHO, they really dont look like they belong on the Kings. The install was fairly easy and I would recommend them if you are looking for more pullback, stock is 9" and the 508's are 16".

What all was involved. Did you have to replace all the cables for the chubby's? I am only 5'7" and short arms, also had three surgeries on my neck and need bars that will come back closer to me so I can ride more distance without pain. I am going to do something real soon

You could probably get away with using the stock ones but I changed mine out to the braided lines (throttle cables and brake), the clutch I left alone, plenty long enough. The wires I would recommend lengthening, you can purchase the extension looms to make things easier. These bars should really improve your riding posistion and help with comfort on the long rides. Feel free to PM me with any questions you have on the installation.

Will these work on an Ultrs? I just bought an 05, and am selling a Road King. I think what you did is the answer to my problems of shoulder pain after long rides.

I put the 575 bars on a couple weeks ago and find them to be much better than the stock bars. Not sure if the RK bars will work with the fairing.

Not sure about an Ultra application, might want to look at www.wild1inc.com and see if they can recommend some bars. Maybe someone on the forum that has experience with this could pitch in.

My 508's will go on next week. I only hope they don't come back too far and either bend my wrists or make tight turns difficult. We will see.

Your wrists will be at a different posistion from stock but I did not sense it would be a problem. The tight turns will take some negotiating at first but wont be hard to get used to. The payoff is the normal riding posistion, sooo comfortable. If you were to look down from above at the stance of your hands on the grips, the centerline of the grips is below the ignition switch by about 2".
