Don't let them azzholes spool you up, just make sure they find out what is wrong....There is nothing in the rule book that says you have to use HD oil....and if they don't check it to your satisfaction call the HD 1-800 number and they will light a fire under there butts.
your advice as well as all others is noted and appreciated, just waiting to hear from them after they get around to seeing what the problem is................
Nothing like a douchebag service writer to wreck an already crappy day!!! My '08 Ultra and I will be watching and hoping for a satisfactory conclusion to your ordeal. More than once I have had to have a spirited conversation with the Service Manager and/or General Manager because of an asshat move by a service writer. Best of luck!!!

you know it should never have to come to that dammit, if its broke just fix it and do whats required to get the job done to the customer's satisfaction, never mind the snid comments about crap that doesn't apply to the mechanical components involved as in my case before a qualified technician even looked at it, doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling right from the start
Sadly, we all got to remember all dealers are just franchisees, with their own mentalities, and mindets. Dumbass or not, that's why when they do a dumbass move or screw a customer over we need to call HD directly and report them.
HD has pulled the franchise liscense on several dealers for doing idiotic moves such as this before.
Hopefully it all works out, and at no cost to you.
well its now winter of 2011, when all this wierd crap happened on the road I had pulled into a highway gas station, got gas and checked the oil, waited awhile it was waaay down, put in 10-30 cause thats all the gas station had for oil and headed for the nearest town, barely got there and shut it down when oil pressure dropped off, checked it again and all oil mostly gone, service guy says to me I had overfilled it with oil and that caused the problem cause they found 3 liters in the crankcase !.....it wasn't the first oil change I'd done and why did all the oil go into the crankcase when I was on the highway before I stopped ? they warranted lifters, gaskets, o rings , etc and I paid the rest otherwise my bike would still be there.....the service order is very vague as to what they did and that was troubling at the time, bike has just over 46k on my oil changes btw and running great before parking it for the winter, the bike had only been in once before to the dealer for minor warranty work and they had got all pissy over that......would I buy another bike from there.......not f**king likely
