Arc Audio 125.2 mini amp + 6.5 Arc speakers + Firecap501 = AWSOME LOUD AND CLEAR TUNES AT ALL SPEEDS...no $h!+. Money well spent... no disapointments. Add the hogtunes tweeter pod and it gets even better. Just keep in mind that the speaker size greatly limits the sound quality at higher volumes. The 6.5 inch speaker is far superior to the 5.25 inch speaker but it is still only 6.5 inches. The low bass cant be had from a speaker this size and cant be heard over wind and exhaust noise anyway. So all considered these 6.5s with a push from the amp really work well. I have spent big money on the scooter and been let down too, it sucks.
...... i just changed the speakers in the RG to the new hybrid magnet HT's. For just $85 they make a wonderful difference. Was listening to Dylan's 'Desolation Row' out on the hiway & I swear i heard individual instruments that i'd not even picked out on the home set up. Is it audiophile quality above 60 mph ? uh, No.... but then i don't really expect it to be. 3000 rpm from the 88 is the music, ..... stereo is just 'background'.
BTW: BBC Studio recordings of Pink Floyd from '68/9 are fkng unbelievable @ speed ! All those weird noises can get a bit tedious while sitting on the couch, ....but when the landscape around you is blurring by, they all seem to make perfect sense.
