Doesn't your passenger sit now higher than before, relative to you, and is more exposed to air? Plus the seat moving you back, your passenger has less room, correct?

Corbin... I have one on my 07 and it sits me about 1 inch down and two inches back. Give them a call. This is my 3rd Harley and 3rd Corbin....

Another vote for the Sundowner. Just did 3,000 miles in a week and no discomfort whatsoever. Buy online for 20% off at some places. Around $240 Absolutely best bang for the buck IMO

Interesting read. Here is my 2 cents on the seat deal. I have an 08 Ultra, am 6-2+. I also didn't like my seat when I first got the bike. The position was a lot different than my old Heritage. Thought I needed a seat, felt like I was sitting on the tank, but didn't want to spend the money right away to get one. Have since gotten used to the riding position, and with properly positioned hwy pegs have a comfortable ride........except for sweaty azz syndrome (SAS), which leads to all kinds of other discomforts.

HD offers a seat cover with sheepskin inserts. Couple of riding buddies have them and swear by them. Looks ain't so hot, but oh well. So this year, at the beginning of a 2400 mile ride, and after a couple hours of SAS, we happened by a place that sold skins. Bought a black, long haired, sheepskin, cut a slice in it for the back rest, threw it over the seat and took off. I am not sure how far I can ride now before discomfort sets in, because this sheepskin solved the SAS problem plus made the seat softer and more comfortable.
If somebody knows of a seat that is as comfortable as this set-up, I'll buy one! I don't think any leather or vinyl seat could be as comfortable.

(I would still like to be a little further back, but that would cut into the room for the pretty lady that rides with me.)

IF and a big IF - you can make it to Hollister CA (Corbin Factory) The best way to get a seat to fit YOUR *** - ride in appoitment - In fact I will be there at 8am on this coming Tuesday - need to have my cover remove and have a back rest installed - Now before I get flamed here - when I had my seat made - I have them NOT have the hole in the cover for the back rest - well, 5 years later - I want one...

I am on the other side of the scale from the OP here... I am a short rider and NEED to be closer - Most people can not get to Corbin - but if you can - what a deal... NO extra $$ - but you meet and work with the builder and your seat is made while you wait... In fact, as the progress moves along - the builder talks to you - you sit and try it out - go for MANY test rides - tweak some more - when YOU say "now thats perfect" the seat is again remove and then it gets covered and you leave with your custom seat... NOTHING beats this service... No amount of talking on the phone can compare to YOU being there... Now if you find a seat builder in your area that can have you at his shop for the testing - then go for it...

just my .02 here...

have you sat on a roadglide. not the 2010 as they're a streetglide seat, but the 08 and 09 roadglide seats are great.
