I wear a beanie because I have to have something on my head that looks legal. Really enjoy riding in states without a helmet law. Whatever happened to FREEDOM???
I wear a beanie also, but I have a FF DOT helmet for the cold.
3/4 DOT helmet with sun visor. I have ridden with a helmet since 1963 and have needed it twice when hit. I view a helmet as just another tool in my survival techniques. Riding a M/C today is about as dangerous as combat given the fact that everyone has a damn cell phone either plastered to their ear or in front of their face texting away. I think of a helmet as a "Cup" for the head.
I have noticed over the years that there is a tendency for younger road riders to ride without head protection, while older road riders tend to cover up more. On the other side of the coin, young riders will usually wear head protection when riding dirt bikes. I am neither a sociologist, nor a shrink, but evidently the younger crowd does not perceive road riding to be a hazard. Aside from my own personal safety, I don't care if anyone else rides with a helmet or not.
I don't normally take a stand on this subject, but was asked.
1/2 helmet 100% of the time..Feel naked without it!!!! At my age who cares about helmet hair!!!! Im lucky to have hair!!!!
Now this is good!!!
Here in Florida..no helmet law. Wife and I hace HD-DOT 1/2 that we use in summer. 3/4 during winter...if there is such a thing here in Fla. I also have an old novelty helmet that I will wear ocasionally to an event. Like to have something on the cranium!
We think a helmet poll is in order here. Do you wear a helmet? If you do not you are lucky as we are in CA and it is the law. What type is your preference?
I wear a half helmet on the Harley and a full face on the sport bike. And I even have matching assless chaps and gloves. Just kidding.
Full-face why go half-assed I live in Arizona I think the full-face offers the best protection if there is such a thing on a motorcycle! Second choice of transportation in my book would be a Mule...........
Seer mod 1602 1/2 helmet.I Wear it all the time.I had a pretty severe head injury 36yrs. ago,on anti-seizure meds for 25 yrs.Don't want to go through that again.
I wear a helmet all the time even though it's not required in NM, my choice. If I'm just going to work and hopping around town it's a 1/2 Fulmer. If I'm on a trip it's a 3/4 Flumer with flip shield and intercom set up ( usually have wife on the back. I like Fulmer helmets and the way they fit.
