The SG used to be a great touring bike -- until 2010. Since ***** decided to make it cool for the kiddy crowd, it's now not much more than a large bar-hopper.
There's one sitting on the floor of my local dealer on Saturday afternoon late and they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
There are none around here. I took a trip to yellowstone a couple of weeks ago, and across CO, the small part of Utah I hit, and from what I was told all of Wyoming there were no denim blacks to be found. I saw a scarlet red in almost every dealer, but no denims.
I'm going tomorrow to a dealer thats somewhat close to me, and tell them to do their best hunting me one down.

Funny, the "kiddy crowd" can handle the wind a little better than the old folks I guess.

Wasn't sure where you were from but seems like it might be pretty far to Maryland now that you have given us more info.

yeah, pretty far.. Kansas to be exact. I'll just start at the closest dealer tomorrow and work my way out until I either find one, or find a dealer willing to get me one. I don't want to order and wait... I'm not very patient.
ups guy do have a pic of the kw 12in? it seems to me the batwing would be more aerodynamic
more aerodynamic than a brick maybe, but not the rg. when you find the right cobination for you, i will bet that you end up loving the rg and start putting all us batwingers down.....

so what did they do to the 2010 that diminished its capability to tour?
I dont know about the RG, but I am here to tell you the SG has a lot of wind above 50 mph. And people who have riden both will tell you there is less wind with the RG
With a 4" windshield maybe..............I have riden a RG for an hr, IT SUCKED!!!! The stock RG was a wind machine and was beyond terrible........I would never own one just for that reason........I would buy one in a heart beat but the wind is a joke........I will keep my batwing!!
