Default Cooler Engine, cooler rider

Hello! I was wondering if fellow riders could share what they found is the best way to make the bike cooler (on the right side). Oil cooler? Fuel Management? New Pipes? Air Filter? Fan? What works best to keep from cooking the right thigh... Thanks!

Really only one way... Tuning device with A/C and exhaust. I would do a SERT, but many swear by the Power commander.

Pipes can make a big difference in the amount of heat on your legs. Harley's 09' and 10's have pipes that wrap forward and under the bike to get the heat away from the rider. I run Thunder H,eaders that really alleviate the heat off my right leg, my left pipe is a falsie, the 2 into1 wraps forward then back.

Default Stage 1 plus Oil Cooler

A good Stage 1, like the Fuel Moto packaged system and installed properly. Combine that with a Jagg Deluxe oil cooler and you'll run at about 210'F under normal conditions.

It's a really good combination, PLUS you are going to realize more low end power and the ability to cruise along with a happy zone around 2200rpm.

Fuel Pak, Vance & Hines slip ons and stage 1 air cleaner. Runs much cooler now.

Proper tune will address the root of the problem, but an oil cooler is also a good idea.

Just added the oil cooler, SERT, to my 08 Ultra really made a difference on the heat out put. Now if I have to set at a traffic light my leg doesn’t feel like it's on fire.

Default Cooler Engine

I had a set of Andrews 26 cams installed and a custom PCIII map. Cooled it down a ton. Oil temp around 180 to 200 on and 80 to 90 degree day. No more glowing pipes. Fuel milage still in the mid 40's at hwy speeds. The stock cams are the issue. No overlap thus turning the engine into a catalytic converter. My bike is so cool now I even took off my RJ's Originals. Soon I will be installing a TTS Master Tune to replace the Power Commander.
