Question Fly-by-wire ???

I haven't heard many comments about the fly-by-wire throttle system for the touring bikes.
Can you tell the difference from cable operated throttles? How does it feel? I assume there is a return spring in it to give you a cable "feel"....

Let me hear from you new Touring model owners!

Thanks...

I like it. I think they tried to model the feel of the traditional cable throttle as best as possible, and they did a great job. Yes, it returns to closed when you let off of it.

Feels the same to me. Allows for better management of things like cruise control and the EITMS (Engine Idle Temperature Management System). Sure makes grip changes a snap (just make sure you have the correct grips). Been using TBW for over ten years in my car without a problem.

Feels like cables to me. The spring is in the control part that slides in your handlebar.

Works and feels great. I never give it a thought while riding.

Can't say I'm a fan, constant high idle up to 2000 rpm, do the idle reset but to no avail. Need to get to the dealer while its still under warr. Other than this no other problems.

I like it. Only difference that I can tell is a very slight hesitation when you accelerate after being at a steady cruise for a while.
