I did 12" monkeys myself, it wasnt that bad, yaffie sends you directions with the bars. I thought the hardest part was getting my 2 into 1 exhaust off all wires reached without being spliced.

Well folks its done. Thanks for the tips but I believed the prayer to the Good Man upstairs helped a great deal.
Just got in from a short ride to test everything and alls well right now.

Will get pics posted tomorrow. Had to put the stock mirrors back on. Had PM fairing mounted mirrors but couldn't see thru them.

Need to make a small clutch adj but felt good being back on her just in time for winter LOL.

Good to hear, BuckeyeRider. Be sure to post up some pics!

I'm nearly done with mine as well. I had several other new parts to install, or I would have been done by now. Chrome hand controls, FBI flush axle, Klock front fender, chrome ac backplate, painted inner-fairing, ss braided clutch cable and brake lines, J&M Rokkers and amp, SERG mirrors. Been scratching together my pennies, and stocking up parts for quite some time.

Good luck. Too much work to put apes on a bagger for my liking.

My bars will be here tomorrow. Can someone send me a copy of the instructions?
smg614@hotmail.com

Also, anyone thinking about buying these bars, I bought mine @ direct harley parts. They only stock 10"&12" bars. Helpful guys and they have everything you need. Only 3 days to ship.

I recently put apes on my bagger and it is well worth it. Much more comfortable riding position, especially if your 6'+. I've never run them in all my years riding, never even tried a bike with apes, but they just work on a bagger. I got drags on my softail and wouldn't even consider changing them, for that bike they are perfect, to me anyway.
