I installed some 14" monkey bars on my SG last month and I love love love em. Do yourself a favor and go to lowes and pick up some wire pull lubricant and a pull chain.
I taped the wires together a couple inches from the end and slid the pull chain through and folded it back down towards the end and wrapped it in tape. Solid as a rock. Left side is cake. Right side plain sucks. I cut out the inner two wires from the tbw sensor for heated grips. I slid the wires in and out the bottom where the switch housing wires go in and taped them on the tbw wires staggered further up the wire. Lots of cussing and pushing at the top and pulling out the bottom like everyone says it can be done. I've done lots of internal wiring but 18 wires on one side is hardcore. I gave up twice.

Sounds like me man but I had 1.5" diameter bars. The lube is messy but well worth it. I had wires slip out a few times while pulling but what I learned would help is maybe pull half the wires through, pull a few back out and attach the rest. Worked for me after some trial and error. There's no better feeling than getting them all through then finding out they all work when you connect them and try all the switches!
Thank you to RAMNJ for posting the instructions he had. I plan on installing 11” bars this weekend. If anyone has different instructions or tips, I would appreciate a copy. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to this thread. I picked up everything for this task but forgot to get the poly bushings. How imperative is it to install them? If needed, I think I can pick a set up in the morning.
Thanks,
